For those of you who aren't familiar, Mark Beaumont is a 26 year old stud muffin (and
one heck of a nice guy) from Scotland who set the Guinness World Record for the Fastest
True Circumnavigation by Bicycle. He smashed the Guinness World Record by an
astonishing 81 days.
We've attracted some very interesting guests to Moab and Solfun Mountain Biking, and
Mark Beaumont was one of them.
Starting on his bike in Anchorage, Alaska to Ushuaia in Southern Argentina. Following
the line of the mountain ranges which from the American Cordillera, he climbed the two
highest peaks; Mount McKinley and Aconcagua, on foot.
He started in May, 2009, and just finished on February 18th, 2010! Congrats to Beaumont!
What an inspiration, to so many.
