Getting to Moab

Red Tail Aviation at the Moab Airport has scenic fly overs around Arches/Canyonlands as well as Monument Valley, Grand Canyon and charters to parts unknown.

Moab is the mountain biking Mecca of the world, but it isn’t exactly a major metropolitan area. We hope you’ll use the information below to help plan the easiest way to jump off for your vacation. Moab mountain biking trails are waiting!

Fly into Canyonland Fields Airport

You can fly into this small airport 16 miles north of Moab. The carrier contract keeps changing. Presently, U.S. Airways Express offers daily service to and from Salt Lake City. But a new carrier will take over this contract soon, flying only to and from Denver. Updated info will be posted on the airport’s website below. Rental car and shuttle-to-Moab services are also listed.

Fly into Grand Junction, Colorado

Grand Junction is the closest large town to Moab. You can rent a car there. The drive from Grand Junction to Moab is beautiful and in the daylight it can be a phenomenal entrance into a Moab adventure. Takes about 1 hour & 45 minutes to drive.
