“Do, or do not. There is no ‘try’.” – Yoda (“The Empire Strikes Back”)
Porcupine Rim tours begin with a 3.5 mile climb (mostly slick rock) to Porcupine’s breathtaking rim. Way at the top of this epic bike trail, everything pauses and for one moment, nothing else matters. Mind-blowing views of the La Sal Mountains, Castle Valley, and Arches National Park are everywhere along this world-class rim tour in Utah’s spectacular canyonlands country.
Careful! Don’t get too caught up in this paradise! Bite your lip and get ready for a grin-eating Moab biking experience of a lifetime: You’re about to ride 12 miles of downhill heaven, including several miles of technical single track. It’s like a rollercoaster for thrill-seeking athletes in some of Utah’s most scenic and rugged slick rock, single track terrain.
LPS (Lower Porcupine Single Track) is an alternative section for Porcupine riders looking to avoid the initial climb and psyched for an extra four miles of downhill technical single track. The LPS trailhead starts approximately seven miles above the Porcupine Rim trailhead and is an additional $5/per person.
The adventure down the Porcupine Rim trail includes a shuttle back into Moab at the end of the trail. For your safety, you needn’t bike the busy river road back to town. We’ll have a cooler of frosty beverages and hors d’oeuvres to refresh you while you relish the moment. You just experienced one of the world’s finest rim tours. How sweet it is!
Moab biking weather is always warmer at the bottom of this adrenaline-packed trail. Bring a light jacket or vest for the alpine environment at the start of this epic biking drama.
BODY ARMOR IS RECOMMENDED. We’ll rent you armor if you don’t bring your own.
$150 Per person — Includes shuttle, rental bike/helmet, guide/instruction, photography, lunch, energy bar, apres ride refreshments (BYOB).
